She quickly had the area sprayed and got rid of the ants. The region experienced a series of storms that brought down trees, which was quite scary as they fell in unexpected directions. The branches fell as early as 6 AM, causing fear and panic, but fortunately, none landed on anyone or on the campers. The trees appeared rotted and dead, and it seemed like a good idea to remove them, as they posed a dangerous threat to the visitors. The park personnel were less than perfect, with one person at the gate being unpleasant to people checking in. I was unable to get the lady's name, but she was older, and it was quite disconcerting. I spent four days in the park, and apart from the unpleasant lady, the facility was nice. The state park needs better care from the maintenance workers, as there is so much more to do beyond mowing the grass and calling it a day. Unforgettable State Park - I had an excellent experience at this state park, which was in proximity to West Yellowstone. A Favorite Lewis and Clark Destination - On our way from Lolo, Montana to Lewiston, Idaho, we randomly stopped at this park in May and were accorded the warmest of welcomes. This stop was different, as we felt closer to Lewis and Clark's voyagers than any other site on our trip. First-Timer in the Park - We opted to camp in this park because of the rumor going around that the fish were biting. However, our experience was not entirely what we had expected.
