Experience the Extreme Beauty of Alaska Through its Weather Online

The National Weather Service partners with Alaska Public Media, KUAC-TV, KTOO 360TV, and the Alaska Public Broadcasting’s Alaska Rural Communications Service (ARCS) to broadcast Alaska Weather, a statewide public television show featuring the most current TV weather images that serve as a general forecast for the state. However, for more specific and up-to-date forecasts, NWS Alaska Region’s forecast offices produce text and graphical forecasts that should be used for planning purposes. The TV aviation and marine images refresh every morning with new forecast information.

A collection of TV weather maps that display today, tonight, tomorrow, and the next day’s weather is available via URLs. Users can click here to view a legend of symbols used in the maps. The images update daily at 5:00pm Alaska time and expire at 8:00am every morning.
