"Get Soaked in Fun at Alabama Adventure & Splash Adventure (Bessemer) - Expert Tips for an Epic Day Out!"
In-Depth Critiques: Our reviews are organized based on themes identified by users, including cleanliness, ambiance, tips, and location information. Check out one of our reviewers, allyg199, who had an awesome time at Alabama Adventure and Splash Adventure. They visited on a Tuesday and didn't have to wait in line at the amusement park side. Additionally, all rides were operational, except for one scrambler-type ride. On the Splash side of things, there was an impressive variety of water slides, a lazy river, a wave pool, and a great kid zone. Fortunately, the park offers free drinks, so you won't need to carry around a refillable cup or spend exorbitant amounts of money on drinks. Overall, the food options were standard fare such as burgers and pizza. The kids had a great time, and if you purchase tickets online, you can enjoy this adventure for only $39.99 per person.

However, patriciak from L4904IZ had a different experience. Unfortunately, they contracted a stomach virus just five minutes after arriving at the park and didn't receive any refund or compensation from the staff. To make matters worse, the staff was rude and unhelpful, leaving patriciak feeling heartbroken. Due to their illness and financial constraints, patriciak was unable to return to the park at a later date.

In contrast, anderson213 from Hannibal, MO had a disappointing time at Alabama Adventure and Splash Adventure. They were surprised that they only gave the park a one-star rating since it is an amusement, water park after all. One significant issue anderson213 faced was the expensive ticket prices, which were not justified by the lack of operational rides. For example, the Renegade ride was closed, and although it was not mentioned on the website, locals had heard that the ride had barely been operational for most of the summer. Additionally, a few of the seats on the kiddie coaster, Centi-speed, were taped off, making it unavailable for use. The amusement park side was equally disappointing, with yellow tape covering several seats and certain rides entirely out of commission. The wave pool was not functioning correctly, and the lines to other water park attractions were long, especially for the Rocket Racer. Unfortunately, anderson213 recalls the locals making derogatory comments about the park, which didn't help the situation.

As a result, it's crucial for Alabama Adventure and Splash Adventure to develop a thoughtful plan to get back on track, including remedying the operational issues and providing satisfactory customer service. We hope that the park has the financial resources to make this happen.

I have purchased season passes and find that there are plenty of activities to keep my little ones entertained. Safety measures are taken seriously, which is reassuring even on crowded weekends. As an OTM expert, I can attest to having high standards, and Alabama Adventure has not disappointed. I anticipate frequenting the park throughout the summer. I highly recommend - I’ve been back eight times and counting!Alabama Adventure is a place my family has visited annually for nine years, always enjoying ourselves thoroughly. Attendants are always kind and reliable, and we appreciate the security measures that are taken. Prices for food may seem a bit steep, but one must consider that the park relies on concessions to profit beyond the entrance fee. Unlimited free beverages are offered throughout the park, and safety equipment such as life jackets and inner tubes are provided. The lazily-paced river is a family favorite, with at least five attentive lifeguards on duty. After reading negative reviews, I must say that we have had zero issues with staff or the facilities in all our visits. The park has never failed to offer great attractions, excellent service, and a welcoming environment over the years. On our first trip in 2020, we ended up staying an extra day and now have season passes for the current year. Even my daughter and I enjoyed it as much as my grandchildren! The park is well-maintained, and I appreciate their provision of free beverages throughout the park, which is a rarity these days. It's clear to me that Alabama Adventure is committed to offering families a fun space to create memories. I would recommend a visit to the park to anyone who enjoys a good time. For us, the trip is more than worth the two-hour drive both ways. This review reflects the subjective perception of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Reviews are checked for authenticity by Tripadvisor.I must share my disappointment with a recent encounter we had at the park. A fellow guest accused my twelve-year-old son of making a gun gesture with his fingers towards her three-year-old child. However, my boys were nowhere near that area of the park at the alleged time of the incident. Despite my apology and reassurance that my sons would never behave in that manner, the woman became verbally aggressive and threatened us. With no security or police present, I felt unsafe and sought an escort out of the park. The only worker available allowed the situation to escalate. We informed management and received a half-hearted apology and no reimbursement. This incident has caused me to lose faith in the park and its handling of security concerns. Though smaller than when it first opened under the name Visionland, the new management team makes sure to provide a pleasant visit. The rides are well-maintained, and safety protocols to guard against COVID-19 are in place to ensure everyone's safety. However, he notes a scarcity of available food concessions that may be due to regulations or staffing shortages during the early part of the season. Overall, he gives a positive review of the park.
